Live Webcast to Highlight Swimming State Championship

WIAA Girls State Swim & Dive Championships 2011
King County Aquatic Center, Federal Way 

Renton, Wash. –
The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association will embark into a new era with the live broadcast ofthe WIAA/Dairy Farmers of Washington/Les Schwab State Swimming Championships beginning Friday, Nov. 4 at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.


The WIAA has partnered with When We Were Young Productions and PlayOn! Sports to offer a variety of state championships on the web.
  When fully implemented in the third year of the agreement, the two groups will broadcast over 200 state tournaments a year.

The broadcast of the state swimming championships will cover the entire swim portion of the meet.
 Beginning at 9:45 a.m. on Friday, the broadcast will feature every preliminary race for each classification and will conclude with the team awards ceremony on Saturday evening.  To view the broadcast, visit www.WIAANetwork.com.

For fans attending the state championship, the facility will open at 8:45 a.m. on Friday morning.
 The cost of entry for adults is $9 or $15 for an all-tournament pass.  For students with a valid ASB cardand senior citizens the price of admission is $7 or $10 dollars for the all-tournament pass.
