State Swim & Dive Spectator Restrictions

The WIAA is scheduled to host the Girls State Swimming and Diving Championships on November 12th-13th at the King County Aquatic Center (KCAC) in Federal Way. KCAC's COVID-19 guidelines include limiting the total number of individuals allowed in the facility during an event. Our focus remains on maximizing the number of student-athletes allowed to participate in the meet which necessitates that only participants, coaches, officials and essential staff will be admitted. No spectators or non-essential personnel will be allowed into the facility for the state meet.

To comply with KCAC’s limit on individuals in the facility, an adjustment to the posted Bound for State regulations is also necessary. Schools will also be asked to limit the number of relay swimmers at the meet. Currently, the Bound for State Regulations allow for up to 8 names to be listed on the Relay Entry Form. This limit will be adjusted to read “Up to six (6) relay swimmers MUST be listed on the Relay Entry Form."
 
The event will be available to watch on the NFHS Network.
 
More specific meet information will be sent out to member schools as it becomes available.
