Description
|
Kennedy Catholic High School is seeking an Assistant Fastpitch Coach for the 2026 season.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach fundamentals: throwing, catching, hitting, base running, fielding, and position-specific skills
Emphasize proper mechanics to reduce injury risk.
Assist with practice plans.
Teach game strategies
Teach softball IQ: rules, situations, and decision-making
Ensure practices are safe, organized, and productive
Teach and model proper game conduct
Communicate clear expectations
Model respect toward officials, opponents, and fans
Reinforce team values: effort, accountability, resilience, and teamwork
Address unsportsmanlike behavior promptly
Represent the school/organization positively at all times
Maintain equipment and facilities
Supervise athletes during all team activities
Assist with scheduling, travel, and logistics as needed
EXPERIENCE:
Playing experience at High School level or higher.
