The Bush School is in search of an individual to join our Athletic Department as the Boys Varsity Assistant Golf Coach – Playoffs Only. We are seeking a candidate who is able to support the school’s goals towards building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community. The Boys Varsity Assistant Golf Coach is responsible for supporting the Head Coach throughout the spring playoff stretch, including planning and leading practices, coaching matches, and transporting the team to off-campus sites in a school vehicle.
At Bush, boys golf is a split-season sport, with regular season play in the fall and postseason competition (conference and state championships) in the spring. In collaboration with the Athletic Department and Head Golf Coach, the Playoff Coach will support and prepare 8 to 10 boys golf student-athletes who have qualified for postseason play. This position reports directly to the Athletic Director.
The golf spring playoff season begins on Monday, April 6, 2026, and continues through the conclusion of the state tournament on May 20, 2026. Practices are held Monday through Thursday between 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. and will not exceed two hours per day. Practices typically take place at Jefferson Park Golf Course and other local golf courses. Coaches generally meet athletes on campus, travel together to the practice or match site, and return to Bush at the end of the day.
There is the possibility of being retained on the coaching staff for the 2026–27 school year, which includes regular season play in the fall and postseason competition in the spring.
