Description

The JV Football Coach is responsible for developing student-athletes’ skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship while preparing them for progression to the varsity level. This role focuses on instruction, mentorship, and fostering a positive and competitive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and lead practices that emphasize fundamentals, conditioning, and game strategy Teach proper techniques, rules, and sportsmanship Evaluate player performance and support athlete development Collaborate with varsity coaching staff to align program goals Supervise athletes during practices, games, and team activities Ensure compliance with school policies and athletic regulations Promote academic accountability and character development among players
Qualifications:
Prior coaching or playing experience in football preferred Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to mentor and motivate student-athletes CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Work Environment: Seasonal position requiring after-school hours, evenings, and occasional weekends during the football season.
