Description About Cristo Rey Jesuit Seattle High School: Cristo Rey Jesuit Seattle opened in 2024-25 as a 9-12 Catholic school educating young people of limited economic means and all religious faiths to become “people for others.” Through a rigorous college-prep curriculum, integrated with professional experience and spiritual development, students graduate empowered to succeed as scholars and citizens. CRJS is a part of the largest network of high schools in the US exclusively serving low-income youth, as well as a proud member of the Jesuit Schools Network. Position: Soccer Coach Salary: Stipend. 50% paid mid-season, 50% at end of season - Head Coach: $3,500. - Assistant Coach $2,500. Position Summary We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated Soccer Coach to lead and develop our high school Soccer program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coaching student-athletes, fostering a positive and inclusive team environment, and promoting sportsmanship, leadership, and academic excellence. The Soccer Coach will guide the team in all aspects of the sport, from skill development to competitive play, while supporting the holistic growth of each student-athlete. They also will support with scheduling, transportation, inventory, and all other logistics of coaching a youth sports team. What You’ll Do • Plan, organize, and execute effective practices, drills, and game strategies that develop players' Soccer skills, teamwork, and understanding of the game. • Plan, and coordinate in conjunction with the Assistant Principal, or their designee, the practice and game schedule for the season. • Instruct and mentor student-athletes, emphasizing personal development, academic achievement, and positive behavior on and off the court. • Promote team cohesion, sportsmanship, discipline, and respect both within the team and when interacting with opponents, officials, and fans. • Analyze performance and provide constructive feedback to players to help them improve their skills and game performance. • Manage all aspects of game-day operations, including team preparation, strategy implementation, and in-game decision-making. • Communicate effectively with parents, faculty, and school administration regarding team schedules, events, and student-athlete progress. • Monitor and maintain the physical and mental well-being of all players, ensuring a safe and healthy environment. • Adhere to all school, district, and state athletic policies, including eligibility requirements and safety regulations. • Act as a positive role model, exemplifying dedication, resilience, and a strong work ethic Context • CRJS is member of WIAA. We are hoping to join the Sea-Tac league, but have not formally joined yet. • There is a boys team and a girls team. There will be two coaches for each team. • Our athletics program is in its beginnings still. Coaches should expect to be doing foundational work in program culture building, knowledge and skills within the sport, and logistics. • Season to begin August 31st though approximately November 6th. Exact dates subject to change. Who You Are • Previous coaching experience • In-depth knowledge of Soccer rules, strategies, and player development. • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes while maintaining high expectations for performance and behavior. • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all players. • Valid CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). • Completion of required background check and safe environment training • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by the practice and game schedule. • 25 years of age or older • Practices, games, and team activities may take place both indoors and outdoors, often outside of regular school hours. • The position requires physical activity, including demonstrating skills and techniques during practices and games. • Licensed driver TO APPLY Upload resumé and references from HERE.
